I'm really worried because I can see my epiglottis and it seems like it's always visible. Ive been dealing with allergic bronchitis and lately I feel like there's something stuck in my throat, although it doesn't actually hurt. However, I've developed a throat infection over the last week. Is it normal for my epiglottis to be visible all the time? I'm pretty scared about this. What should I do?

I'm having this issue where I'm producing a lot of saliva while I'm sleeping, and it feels like my mouth and windpipe are just drying out, so I'm constantly having to swallow. It sometimes leads to saliva or mucus accidentally getting into my windpipe when I'm deeply asleep, and I wake up suddenly because I'm choking and can't breathe. It's really scary because I struggle for a bit before I can finally breathe normally again. It's making me afraid that I might actually choke in my sleep. Also, I've got this allergy to cough. I've had these Circumvallate papillae for about 5 years, and just last Thursday, after dinner, I noticed some new bumps forming behind them. I'm not someone who smokes or drinks. I even attached a couple of images for you to seethe first highlights these bumps in red, located right behind the junction of the Circumvallate papillae, and the second should help pinpoint exactly where they are. It's tough to get an appointment with an ENT right now. I'm just wondering, does this sound normal to you, or should I be worried enough to try harder to see a doctor? I'm dealing with anxiety over this and it's affecting my sleep. I'm really hoping you can help me understand what's going on.
