I've been dealing with really bad mouth ulcers that keep getting worse, and now there's a painful bump on my tongue making it hard to eat anything except water. The doctor prescribed creame and forte b tablets, but the ulcers are spreading even after taking antibiotics for fever that started 5 days ago. I'm scared of surgery can this be treated without it? Should I see an ENT specialist or a dentist for this? There's an image showing the sores and bump on my tongue.

It's important to see a dentist or oral surgeon for the painful bump and persistent mouth ulcers, as they could be a sign of something more serious, like oral cancer. While some ulcers resolve on their own, prolonged sores warrant medical attention. Treatment options often include topical medications or, in some cases, minor procedures, but surgery is not typically necessary.

I've been really diligent about brushing my teeth twice a day and using a tongue scraper every day to clean off my tongue. But, the problem is that no matter what I do, the white stuff on my tongue comes back within a day. It's frustrating. Do you have any advice or recommendations for products that might actually help? The scraper isn't doing much and just ends up hurting my tongue.

Typically, growth plates in bones close after puberty, limiting significant height growth. However, some minor growth (about 1-2 cm or 0.4-0.8 in) is possible until age 25. To potentially maximize residual growth: 1. *Hormone regulation*: Ensure balanced hormone levels, particularly growth hormone and thyroid hormone. 2. *Nutrition and diet*: Focus on a balanced diet rich in: - Protein (essential for growth) - Calcium and vitamin D (crucial for bone health) - Zinc, magnesium, and other minerals 3. *Exercise regularly*: Incorporate exercises that promote bone density and growth, such as: - Stretching and flexibility exercises - Weight-bearing exercises (e.g., walking, jogging, cycling) - Resistance training (e.g., weightlifting) 4. *Get adequate sleep*: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night to support growth hormone production. 5. *Manage stress*: High stress levels can negatively impact growth hormone production. Engage in stress-reducing activities like meditation or yoga. 6. *Avoid smoking and excessive drinking*: These habits can harm overall health and potentially limit growth.

I'm struggling with oral ulcers and I've been using Kenacort gel as my dentist advised. How long do you think it'll take for them to heal? I'm feeling really discouraged since it seems like there's no improvement. Can you give me some advice?

I've got this infection on my tongue, and it feels like I've bitten both sides of it. It's been going on for almost a week now, and I'm in pain. What do you think I should do?

I recommend using an antifungal medication like clotrimazole oral troches. You can dissolve one troche slowly in your mouth five times a day for about two weeks. Additionally, you can take ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours as needed for pain relief. Make sure to maintain good oral hygiene and avoid spicy or acidic foods that may irritate your tongue further.
