I've been dealing with this sputum issue for a while now. I used to be a smoker, but I quit about four months ago. Occasionally, I've had a cigarette maybe once a month since then. Lately, I've noticed this sputum in my throat every morning when I wake up. Could you help me understand what's going on and what I can do about it?

I'm really worried because I was diagnosed with TB about 8 months ago, and now I've started having this phlegm and some occasional pain in my upper chest. I'm not sure if this is normal or if something else might be going on. Could you tell me what might be causing these symptoms?

I've been really worried because my mom used to feed pigeons on her balcony every day, and they pooped there for a whole year. We stopped doing it but now I'm concerned. Could this be why she has lung nodules now? Last year her CT scan only showed fibrosis, but this year there are lung nodules, and the largest is 9mm. Could feeding birds have caused this? I'm really looking for some advice here.

Pulmonologist opinion is advised to the patient.
