I've been dealing with strep throat for the past two years, and it keeps coming back almost every month. My tonsils get those white and yellow patches, and I also notice small bumps at the back of my tongue. Meds help for a bit, but it never really goes away. Would getting my tonsils removed be a permanent fix for this?

View allI've noticed that my tonsils have been really swollen for a while now, ever since I had a whooping cough. The doctor mentioned they were large and red, but I didn't really feel any discomfort like pain or issues with swallowing. Lately, my friends told me I've been snoring, and Im starting to wonder if it's linked to my tonsils. I quit smoking completely, and while my cough went away, the swelling in my tonsils hasnt. Theyre so big that theres only a small gap between them. Should I be worried about this, or is it something that will eventually go back to normal?
