I've been dealing with a throat infection for the past 15 days and it's not getting any better. I've already taken a lot of antibiotics as the doctor prescribed, but it still hasn't cleared up. What should I do next? Could I be missing something important in my treatment?

In such cases, your doctor may consider prescribing a different class of antibiotics or other medications. You can try using lozenges containing Benzocaine or Dyclonine for symptomatic relief. Additionally, you can use over-the-counter pain relievers like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. Gargling with warm salt water can also help soothe your throat. If the symptoms persist, please consult your doctor for further evaluation and management.

View allmy mom has about 30% hearing loss and we're wondering if surgery is the only option or are there other treatments that could help her
For 30% hearing loss, hearing aids are usually the primary treatment option, rather than surgery. Hearing aids amplify sounds and improve speech understanding, especially in quiet environments. While surgery, like a cochlear implant, might be considered for more severe hearing loss, it's not the initial approach for moderate hearing loss

My left ear has been feeling blocked for the last 45 days. It started as a feeling of it blocking and opening on and off, but today it's feeling more blocked than ever, and there's some mild pain now and then. I'm really getting worried. Any idea what's happening or what I should do about it?
It sounds like you may be experiencing a buildup of earwax causing a blockage in your left ear. I recommend using over-the-counter ear drops such as Debrox to help soften the earwax and facilitate its removal. You can also try using a bulb syringe to gently flush out the ear with warm water. If the symptoms persist, you may need to see a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

I'm noticing a hard bump on the side of my nose, just about an inch below my eye. I initially tried to squeeze it thinking it was a pimple, but nothing came out, and then it disappeared for about an hour before returning. Now it's hard and I'm wondering if it could be an allergic reaction to the nose pads on my glasses since I do have sensitive skin and a history of allergies. Could this really be just an allergy or should I be worried about something else?
As you said that could be Allergic reaction,do not attempt to squeeze it or scratch it, avoid triggering factors stay healthy.
