I've been diagnosed with grade 4 chondromalacia and a partial ACL tear can this be fully fixed with surgery or will physiotherapy be enough to recover properly
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
With both Grade 4 chondromalacia and a partial ACL tear, a combination of physiotherapy and potentially surgery may be needed for optimal recovery, depending on the severity of your symptoms and activity level. While physiotherapy can be effective for both conditions, surgery may be required for a full recovery, particularly if you have a high-demand lifestyle or experience significant instability

View allI'm 18 and have bow legs that seem to be getting worse. I don't want surgery but cycling is getting harder even though I've been doing it for weeks. Are there any physical exercises that can actually help fix bow legs or at least stop them from getting worse? I don't have pain yet but I'm worried it might start soon. What would you recommend?
While exercises cannot permanently fix bow legs (Genu Varum), they can help manage symptoms and potentially slow their progression. For an 18-year-old with bow legs, a combination of strengthening, stretching, and mobility exercises can be beneficial

I'm worried about my knees. I've been told I have chondromalacia grade 4, and I'm really concerned about it progressing into osteoarthritis. Also, I've started doing some quadriceps strengthening exercises, like box squats and lunges, to try to help with the stability, but I'm scared that I might be damaging my cartilage even more. Is that something I should be really cautious about?
