I've been diagnosed with hiatus hernia and gastritis and my doctor prescribed meds but the pain hasn't improved much in the last week. How long does it usually take for the meds to work? I'm really worried because I've been dealing with this acid reflux ever since I quit smoking about a month ago. Its become quite uncomfortable, and sometimes I even have trouble breathing, which gets worse when I try to exercise. Im not sure if there's any medication I could take to ease these symptoms, or if it's important that I visit a hospital right now. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Probable diagnosis is Gerd, patient is advised pan d ,orally.once daily for 14 days before food..Avoid spicy foods.

I'm really struggling with something that's been going on for about 4 years now. I feel like throwing up whenever I try to eat, and sometimes I actually do.
