I'm trying to figure out the difference between PCO and PCOS because I've been reading about both and it's a bit confusing. Can you explain how they're different from each other? I'm also curious about the symptoms for each one and what kind of treatments are usually recommended for them. I've been experiencing some irregular cycles and want to know if it's related to either of these. Can you help me understand this better?

PCO (Polycystic Ovaries) refers to ovarian cysts, while PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) is a hormonal disorder characterized by PCO, irregular periods, and hyperandrogenism, with symptoms including acne, excess hair growth, weight gain, and infertility; treatments include birth control pills, fertility medications, anti-androgen medications, and lifestyle changes, with PCOS requiring additional treatments like metformin and surgery in some cases.
