I've been experiencing a rise in my body temperature, along with muscle pain and a mild headache for the past three days. I don't have chills or that sunken feeling, but it's really persistent. I took paracetamol and augmentin, and while they seemed to help at first, the symptoms keep coming back. What could be going on with me?

Persistent Anal Itching
Possible Causes
- Hemorrhoids: Swollen veins in the anal region can cause itching, discomfort, and bleeding.
- Anal fissures: Small tears in the lining of the anus can lead to itching, pain, and bleeding.
- Eczema or dermatitis: Skin conditions can cause itching, redness, and inflammation in the anal region.
- Fungal or bacterial infections: Infections like candidiasis or bacterial vaginosis can cause anal itching.
- Dietary factors: Consuming spicy, acidic, or high-fiber foods can irritate the anal region.
- Gastrointestinal issues: Conditions like diarrhea, constipation, or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can contribute to anal itching.
Recommendations
- Consult a doctor: Schedule an appointment with your primary care physician, gastroenterologist, or proctologist to determine the underlying cause.
- Keep the area clean and dry: Continue practicing good hygiene, and consider using a mild soap and warm water.
- Avoid scratching: Scratching can further irritate the area and make symptoms worse.
- Try over-the-counter treatments: Apply hydrocortisone cream or witch hazel to the affected area to reduce itching and inflammation.
- Dietary changes: Avoid trigger foods, increase fiber intake, and stay hydrated to promote digestive health.

View allI recently got back from a rainy trip to Lonavala, and since then, I've been dealing with this stubborn cold and cough. I've tried taking a bunch of different medicines, but nothing seems to be helping. Could you suggest something that might actually work?

I'm really anxious about something that's been happening to me recently. A few days ago, I suddenly came down with a fever, which was really unusual because I haven't had a fever in a long time. What really worries me is that ever since that same evening, I've been struggling with shortness of breath. Yesterday, I went to see a doctor who ran some tests. My ECG and X-ray came out normal, but the Widal test showed I have typhoid, so now I'm in the hospital. It's been a day without a fever, but I still feel like I'm struggling to breathe, especially when I try to do even light physical activities. I found some stuff online that says having shortness of breath with typhoid could be a serious complication and usually happens around the third week of the illness. Can you shed some light on this for me? I'm kind of worried about what's going on.
An SGPT level of 73 is slightly elevated, while your SGOT level is within the normal range. The SGOTSGPT ratio of 0.47 is lower than the typical range of 0.9-1.5, indicating potential liver stress. However, since all other liver function tests (LFTs) are normal, the risk is relatively low. Consult your doctor to discuss potential causes, such as fatty liver, medication side effects, or other factors. Your doctor may recommend further tests, like ultrasound or liver biopsy, to assess liver health. Regular monitoring of LFTs and addressing underlying causes can help mitigate potential risks.

I've been taking Practin 4mg and now I feel like I'm sleeping all day. Is this going to make me weak or damage my health?
Taking Practic (4mg) might make you feel sleepy and cause you to sleep for extended periods, but short-term use is unlikely to cause significant weakness or health issues. However, prolonged use or disrupted sleep patterns can lead to fatigue, so its important to manage how and when you use it
