I've been experiencing tightness in my throat and having some trouble breathing. I'm not sure who to see about this. Can you help me figure out which kind of doctor I should consult for these symptoms?

Postpartum backache and gas issues can be challenging.

Possible causes:

  • Weakened core muscles after C-section
  • Postural changes during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Gas buildup due to slowed digestion or pressure on abdominal organs
  • Adhesions or scar tissue from C-section

Consider:

  • Gentle exercises to strengthen core muscles
  • Good posture and body mechanics
  • Dietary changes (e.g., avoiding gas-producing foods)
  • Probiotics or digestive enzymes to aid digestion

Consult your obstetrician or a physical therapist specializing in postpartum care for personalized guidance.

I've been dealing with a really intense dry cough ever since the second wave of COVID. It's mostly at night and doesn't really respond to regular cough meds. My doctor put me on Foracort 200 rotacaps, and it works almost immediately, which is great. But I'm still having episodes of this cough almost every night, and I keep reaching for the rotacaps. I'm kind of worried... is it okay to keep using Foracort 200 like this? And are there any potential side effects if I use it long-term?

you can use this medicine, but it has side effects headache nausea

How can I check my breathing at home?

You may check breathing or oxygenation level by "Pulse Oximeter" which gives indirect clue on lung damage but keep in mind there are other medical conditions which may affect pulse oximeter readings.

I'm having trouble with my asthma lately. I've been on Seroflo 250 for about 5 years, but it doesn't seem to be helping much anymore. I'm wondering if Foracort 200 might be a better option. What do you think? Is it more effective?

Foracort 200 (Formoterol + Budesonide) and Seroflo 250 (Salmeterol + Fluticasone) are both combination inhalers for asthma, and while Foracort 200 may have a faster onset of action, Seroflo 250 has a longer duration of action; switching to Foracort 200 may help, but consult your doctor, as they can assess your asthma severity, adjust your treatment plan, and determine the best medication for you.
