I've been experiencing this weird thing where a yellow, watery fluid suddenly drains from my nose every time I bend my head down. It's kind of freaking me out because I haven't been dealing with a cold or anything like that. Could this be something serious? Should I be worried?

View allI'm really worried about this ongoing issue I've been having. It all started with just one nostril being stuffy, and I thought it was just a regular flu or runny nose, so I didn't pay much attention and took some over-the-counter meds. But here I am, 9 months later, and it's still not better. Now I've got these headaches around my forehead and the back of my head, and the mucus drainage smells really badnot like the usual kind. Plus, every time I try to clear my nose, I feel this pressure in my ears, which even causes me to cough. I haven't seen a doctor yet, but from what I've looked up, I'm suspecting it's some kind of sinus infection. What should I do?
It sounds like you may be dealing with a chronic sinus infection, given the persistent symptoms of nasal congestion, foul-smelling mucus, headaches, and ear pressure. It's important to see a doctor, ideally an ENT specialist, for a thorough evaluation and to discuss possible treatments such as antibiotics or nasal irrigation to help clear the infection.

I've been noticing that since yesterday, everything sounds kind of echoed. It's like someone is talking to me through a hollow pipe right next to my ear. And today, I've started having a mild headache. Could this be a stress-related issue because I had an intense week with non-stop phone calls using in-ear headphones for about 8 hours each day? Or should I be concerned about something else going on?
The continuous use of in-ear headphones for long hours can sometimes lead to such problems. I recommend taking a break from using headphones and giving your ears some rest. You can also try using over-the-counter ear drops like Debrox to help with any ear congestion. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it would be advisable to consult with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.

I had a mastoidectomy tympanoplasty about three weeks back, and ever since, I've been hearing these dub dub sounds every now and then. But since yesterday, I've been hearing it a lot more, and just today, it went on for about 20-30 minutes straight. There's no pain, but I'm really curious about why this is happening. It seems to get worse when I'm traveling, especially if there are potholes on the road. Can you help me figure out what's going on?
A flaky skin issue in your inner ear, followed by a transparent liquid discharge and pain, requires attention. Possible causes: 1. Ear eczema (atopic dermatitis) 2. Seborrheic dermatitis 3. Middle ear infection 4. Eustachian tube dysfunction Consult an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist for proper evaluation and treatment. Avoid further peeling or inserting objects into your ear to prevent infection or damage.
