I've been experiencing this weird tightness in my chest, like something is stuck or not right in there. It's been going on for about half an hour now. Can you help me understand what's happening? It's making me pretty anxious.

This sensation could be due to acid reflux. You can try taking an antacid like Tums (calcium carbonate) 500mg to help relieve the discomfort. It is recommended to take 2-4 tablets as needed, but not exceeding 15 tablets in 24 hours. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please seek medical attention immediately.

View allI'm really worried about my heart health. I had an echocardiogram about 7 months ago, and it showed a 60% ejection fraction with trace mitral regurgitation and aortic regurgitation. I've been asking my doctor for another echo for weeks, but he's not keen on it, saying the heart structure won't change that quickly. I'm experiencing what I think are classic heart failure symptoms thoughevery heartbeat feels weak and faint, like my heart's struggling to pump blood. When I stand up, I get short of breath, and my heart rate shoots up. Should I keep pushing for a repeat echo? Is it possible for my heart to get worse in less than a year?
ECHO is done atleast every 6-12 months.

I'm really worried about my high blood pressure since I'm only 27. I've been dealing with anxiety and PCOS, and I've been taking Diane 35 and Fincar for the past month. Lately, I find myself getting short of breath whenever I think about all of this. I don't want to die early and really want to improve my lifestyle. What should I do?
High blood pressure can be concerning, especially at a young age. It's important to manage your blood pressure to reduce the risk of complications. Since you are already taking Diane 35 and Fincar for PCOS, it's essential to monitor your blood pressure regularly. In addition to lifestyle modifications such as maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise, you may benefit from medication to help control your blood pressure. I recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to discuss the possibility of starting an antihypertensive medication such as Amlodipine 5mg once daily to help lower your blood pressure and reduce the risk of complications. Remember to continue monitoring your blood pressure and follow up with your healthcare provider regularly to adjust your treatment plan as needed."

Today I was feeling really breathless, so I decided to see a cardiologist. They had me do an ECG, and after looking it over, the doctor recommended getting another one in 23 days. Should I be worried about what my ECG showed? I'm also on antidepressants, and I've heard they can sometimes cause long QT syndrome. Could that be what's going on with my QTc interval? I've attached my ECG, and I'm just hoping you can let me know if there's anything abnormal.
The QTc interval on your ECG appears to be prolonged, which can be a concern as it may lead to arrhythmias. Since you are on antidepressant medication, it is important to monitor this closely as some antidepressants can indeed prolong the QT interval. I recommend discussing this with your cardiologist and considering a change in medication if necessary. In the meantime, you may benefit from taking a medication like Escitalopram at a lower dose to reduce the risk of QT prolongation.
