I've been having a constant fever between 99 and 101 for the last 15 days. I feel pretty normal most of the time, but when it gets closer to 101, I just get really sleepy. I did a blood test, and it showed my hemoglobin is a bit low, but the platelet count is normal. I also tested negative for malaria, and my SPG report is fine. I've already taken two 5-day courses of antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor, but the fever is still there. There's no other problem, but I'm really curious about why this is happening. Any ideas?

I'm allergic to penicillin, and I've been taking Augmentin 625, but I guess I need to find an alternative. Is there another good antibiotic that I could safely use instead? I'd love some guidance here since I'm a bit concerned about what my options are.

A diagnosis of Drug allergy needs formal testing in which small amount of the drug is injected into the skin over the forearm and we wait till any reaction develop to the drug like: Hypotension (sudden fall in BP) Tachycardia (fast heart beat ) Shortness of breath Rashes all over the body . Next Steps if you are truly tested as penicillin allergic then the answer to your question is erythromycin you can use it as an alternative to agumentin.

I'm planning to take albendazole tablets and I'm wondering if there's anything specific I should know about how to take them. Is it true that I need to wait two weeks between doses, and should I really be taking them with warm sweet milk before bed? Just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Tablet alben dazzle is for worm infestation. If you have evidence of infection confirmed then take one tablet now and repeat after two weeks. If you are staying with family or sharing space or things with others, get everyone with weight >20 kg to take the stat dose. Best taken 2hours after food at night. What ever is your choice, milk water or juice.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather with a cold and a slight fever. Is it okay to take Calpol 650 for this? Is it effective for these symptoms? Just want to make sure it's the right choice.

Calpol 650, which contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), is commonly used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It can be taken for cold and slight fever, as it helps alleviate discomfort and reduce fever. However, it's important to follow the recommended dosage and consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
