I've been having a dry cough for a few days now, and I'm using Zedex cough syrup as my local doctor suggested. The problem is, the phlegm isn't coming up when I cough; it just stays in my chest, which is why the coughing won't stop. Could you offer any advice on what I can do about this?

Every 12 hours or so, my nostrils get blocked too. I've been using inhalers like Esiflo 250 and Tiova, but they only seem to provide temporary relief before everything gets worse again. It's gotten to a point where I've had to be admitted to the hospital, and even with constant nebulization there, things have not improved. I'm feeling pretty discouraged and am looking for advice on how to get long-term relief. Any suggestions?
