I've been having a dry cough for a few days now, and I'm using Zedex cough syrup as my local doctor suggested. The problem is, the phlegm isn't coming up when I cough; it just stays in my chest, which is why the coughing won't stop. Could you offer any advice on what I can do about this?

View allI'm really concerned about my 10-year-old son. He's really into skating and does it quite well, but he runs out of breath quickly and gets tired faster than his peers. He also seems to have breathing problems after running. What can we do to help improve his stamina and make sure he's not struggling with his breathing?

Ive been dealing with this dry cough for the last 20 days and even after taking some medicines, it just wont go away. Im really worried and unsure what to do next. Could you give me some advice or suggest what might be going on?
Persistent dry cough may require a different approach. You can try taking Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) 25mg every 6 hours as needed for cough. Additionally, you can use Robitussin DM (Dextromethorphan and Guaifenesin) 10ml every 4-6 hours as needed for cough. Make sure to stay hydrated and consider using a humidifier to help soothe your throat.
