I've been having this low-grade fever for 16 days now, hovering between 98 and 99.8. I took a Widal test and my results showed S.typhiO 1320 and S typhi H 1160. The doctor I saw prescribed Azilide500 and Oflomac400 for me. I even had a urine test done, which came back normal. Sometimes my fever goes away, but then it creeps back up to 99. It's making me a bit impatient and kind of worried. How much longer is this likely to last, and is there anything else I should be doing?

View allI'm dealing with a fever that's been going on for two days now. The doctor mentioned it's viral, but I'm just wondering how long it'll usually take to get better. Would it be a few more days, or could it last longer?
-Viral fevers usually last 35 days, but rest and hydration can help you recover faster. If the fever persists beyond 5 days or worsens, follow up with your doctor. Take care!

I'm a little worried about something. I had typhoid fever last week and while I don't have the fever anymore, my mouth is still tasting really bitter. I've tried a bunch of things but nothing's working. I'm also feeling pretty weak. What could be causing the bitter taste and how can I get rid of it?
Concerning symptoms. Possible causes: 1. Hemorrhoids 2. Anal fissures 3. Proctitis 4. Gut issues (e.g., IBS) Home remedies for instant relief: 1. Warm water sitz baths (15-20 minutes, 2-3 times a day) 2. Apply coconut oil or aloe vera gel to the affected area 3. Increase fiber intake (fruits, vegetables, whole grains) 4. Stay hydrated (8-10 glasses of water) 5. Practice relaxation techniques (deep breathing, meditation) to manage depression and stress Consult a doctor (proctologist or gastroenterologist) for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
