I've been having this odd cold feeling in my eyes all the time, like a menthol sensation. It's kinda like when acetone dries on your skin. I keep squeezing my eyes and just can't keep them open for long without discomfort. I've noticed that air exposure seems to make it worse. It's honestly quite debilitating. Do you have any idea what might be causing this, and what I can do about it?

This sensation in your eyes could be due to dry eye syndrome. I recommend using artificial tears eye drops, such as Systane Ultra, 1-2 drops in each eye 4 times a day. Additionally, you can use a warm compress over your eyes for relief. If the symptoms persist, consult an ophthalmologist for further evaluation.

I'm a bit confused about my recent eye test results. I went to Titan Eye and they said my vision is 2.00 on both sides, so I ordered glasses based on that. But a few days later, during a family checkup, another eye test showed my vision as 1.50. When I asked Titan Eye about this, they mentioned that a variation of 0.25 or 0.50 is normal and suggested that wearing 2.00 glasses wouldn't harm my eyes. But I'm not quite convinced. Is it really okay to wear glasses with a slightly higher power, like 2.00 instead of 1.50? Do you think its better to stick with a 1.50 power for reading, or should I consider progressive lenses? I've tested with another doctor who also said it's 1.50. What's your advice on the best route to take here?

You go according to ophthalmologist opinion , sometimes technicians may not do it properly.. .minor variation will be there in all test, its interobsever variation.... Results also depends on type of test whether it's just a chart test or slit lamp test..

I've noticed my left upper eyelid is swollen and it actually hurts when I touch it. Compared to my other eyelid, the swollen one feels a bit hard. There isn't any redness inside my eye, though the eyelid itself seems a little pink. I've been watching it for the past three days, and it hasn't changed at all. Can you help me figure out what's going on?

since it is painfull it can be due to stye use antibiotic drops like gatiquin 4 times a day and gatifloxicin ointment on night and try to have hot compressions on eyelid

I'm dealing with a chalazion on my lower eyelid that's been bothering me for a couple of months. I've been doing hot water compresses, but now there's a small tissue formed with some discharge, which my doctor says is because the chalazion ruptured. I'm wondering, is surgery the only option to treat it, or are there other effective treatments I can try?

While surgery is often considered for a ruptured chalazion with a persistent tissue and discharge, it's not the only remedy, as your doctor may recommend other treatments, such as antibiotic ointments or oral antibiotics to clear up the discharge and prevent infection, steroid injections to reduce inflammation, or continued warm compresses to encourage the tissue to resolve on its own,
