I've been having pain in my left knee for about two months now, and sometimes it makes a cracking sound when I straighten it. What could be causing this, and is surgery something I might need?

Really worried about what comes next.* This keeps it natural, drops formalities, and focuses on the concern without sounding robotic.
It's understandable to be worried when you hear about a broken bone. Surgery isn't always the only option, and many fractures can be treated with less invasive methods. Your doctor will consider the type of fracture, its location, and your overall health when determining the best treatment plan.

My left elbow has been swollen for about 3 weeks but there's no pain. A doctor diagnosed it as olecranon bursitis and suggested surgery, also prescribed sporidex AF 750 and Chymoral Forte for a week. Are there any non-surgical options to treat this? If surgery is really needed, what would be the approximate cost in Bangalore?
ortho review is advised.
