I've been having some breathing issues whenever the seasons change, and it's been happening for the past few years. It usually comes and goes on its own, but this time, it's been going on for about 23 days. I'm also feeling a bit of heaviness in the upper center of my chest, which feels really strange when I breathe. I don't have a fever, sore throat, or other flu-like symptoms. A few days ago, I started taking Grilinctus because it was recommended by a doctor for the same issue before, along with some other medicines that I can't remember now. I even got an Asthalin inhaler for emergencies, though I've never used an inhaler before, and I haven't tried this one yet either. While the breathing problem seems slightly better, the chest heaviness is making me anxious. Could this be asthma or possibly a heart problem? It's kind of stressing me out because it's hard to see a doctor right now with everything going on. Any advice on what I should do?

View allI'm a 34-year-old woman and I've been struggling with wheezing, asthma, and a constant cough and cold for years now. I've been using Asthalin inhalers and syrup every day for my wheezing and Ascoril syrup for the cough, but it just feels like things are getting worse. I'm really worried and wondering what kind of treatment I should be looking into, or if there are certain doctors I should meet, especially if things get critical. Can you give me some advice?
It sounds like your condition may need a more comprehensive approach. I recommend visiting a pulmonologist to reassess your asthma management and explore options like long-term control medications (e.g., inhaled corticosteroids). If you're experiencing frequent worsening, consider visiting a hospital with a specialized respiratory unit, such as a multispecialty hospital with 24-hour emergency care. If the symptoms worsen, don't hesitate to seek immediate medical attention.

I'm really worried about pulmonary embolism because I read that 80% of cases are only diagnosed during an autopsy. It's kind of freaking me out to think about how often this might go undetected. What are the scenarios where dead space ventilation is observed, and are there any conditions where it's not usually present? I'm trying to understand more about how this works and what signs I should look out for.

I'm really worried about my allergic asthma that's been going on for 20 years now. Every March, it seems to get worse, and I've been using the Seretide Accuhaler 50050mcg for the past 15 years. Recently, I've been experiencing difficulty in breathing and a tight feeling in my chest. I just got my chest X-ray done, and it showed haziness in the left lower lung zone with prominent vascular markings. Could you help me understand what this means? I'm really concerned.
The haziness in your left lower lung zone and prominent vascular markings could indicate mild inflammation or fluid retention in the lungs, which may be related to your asthma or a respiratory infection. It's important to consult your doctor for further evaluation and treatment adjustments to manage your breathing difficulties and chest tightness.
