I've been having a sore throat for the past two days and it's really uncomfortable. Could you suggest what might be going on and what I should do about it?

I've been dealing with this green cough and cold for the past week, and now I'm starting to feel breathless. Last night, I took a MontekLC tablet based on what worked for me before, but I'm still feeling really weak and it feels like I've got a heavy cold in my head. What do you think I should do? I've had a fever for the past three days and I've been taking Metacin. Every time I take it, the fever goes down, but it keeps coming back after a few hours. I'm getting worried and not sure what to do. Could it be something serious or am I handling it right?
