I've been having trouble breathing and I'm worried it might be because of tar clotting in my lungs. Is there any way to get rid of that tar buildup?

Tar buildup in the lungs, often due to smoking, can cause breathing difficulties. While it can't be fully "removed" like foreign objects, quitting smoking and adopting healthy habits like deep breathing exercises, a nutritious diet, and sometimes medications can help improve lung function and reduce further damage. Consulting a pulmonologist is crucial for tailored treatment.

I've been having some issues for a while now and I'm hoping you can help me out. Last year, during the first wave of covid, I had a fever and all the symptoms but never actually got tested. I just went to a nearby hospital, took some steroids and tablets, and then recovered. But ever since, for about nine months now, I've been dealing with this constant mucus coming from my lungs and throat through my mouth, and there's this stuck feeling and congestion in my chest. I've seen a lot of doctors and gone through all sorts of tests like blood, urine, X-Ray, ECG, and even a hologram scan, but they all say everything is fine. I'm still really struggling with these issues. Any ideas what might be going on?

if tests are normal need not worry, start taking some cough syrup ,drink hot water

I've been really worried. Back in May, I had a severe case of COVID and ended up in the hospital with a CT score of 18. My last CT scan in July showed just a bit of that ground glass opacity left. It's been about six months since I was in the hospital, and my SPO2 is around 98-99 now. Do you think I should get an X-ray or another CT scan again? Or maybe some other tests just to be sure?
