I've been having trouble breathing and it feels like I really have to work hard just to inhale properly. I'm also yawning a lot and constantly have this urge to take deep, long breaths, which isn't normal for me. It's kind of worrying. Could this be something serious? What might be going on with my breathing?

I've been dealing with a really bad cold and cough for a week now, and my nose is constantly running. It's making it hard to breathe, and the chest pain is pretty severe. I saw a general physician, but there's been no relief. The coughing and cold are making so much mucus build up, and the pain in my chest is unbearable. I'm feeling really weak and just can't shake this cold. What should I do?
