I've been having trouble with shortness of breath and a dry cough, especially when I'm talking or laughing. I saw a doctor and was given some meds for three days: Zifi LBX, Maxtra Cold, Nelson, and Corex cough syrup. But I'm still dealing with the same issues. What should I do now? I'm really worried about my dad who was admitted to the hospital. The doctors put him on a ventilator even though his saturation was 97-100 on ventilator and around 92-95 on bipap at 60 ni mode. His carbon levels were at 56 and oxygen at 78 in his blood. Can you help me understand why they used the ventilator?

because with only ventilator the saturation is normal
