I've been having this weird issue where I feel a cough coming on whenever I take a deep breath. It also tends to act up more when I'm really stressed out. And there's this annoying sensation like something is stuck in my throat. Do you think this is something serious? What could be causing it?

View allI'm feeling like my chest and lungs are always tight, especially after jogging or even just walking, I don't feel any relief or openness. I usually just smoke 1 to 2 cigarettes a day and drink alcohol on Sundays, but this tight feeling in my lungs just doesn't go away. Could this be related to my smoking habits or maybe something else? I'm a bit worried and would love some advice.
take a chest xray and proceed

My mom's been dealing with a dry chronic cough for years. Sometimes it gets worse, and it's kind of annoying to listen to. She's been smoking for a long time too. Are there any treatments for chronic cough? And do you know what might be causing it?
smoking is the reason for cough. try taking hot water everyday as many days as you can
