I've been losing a lot of hair lately, especially during washes and combing. I think it's partly due to the water in Kolkata since it has a lot of iron. Can you recommend a good shampoo for my situation? Also, I'm dealing with health issues like PCOD and low hemoglobin. I'm currently taking Livogen Z, Follihair tablets, and some Ayurvedic medicines like Kanchanaar Guggul and Triphala Ras for ovarian cysts. How long should I continue with the Follihair and Livogen Z? I've also straightened my hair recently, and I've lost a lot in the front. Really worried about how much hair I'm losing, any advice would be appreciated.

I've been dealing with hair loss and went to see a dermatologist who prescribed some medications. I've been using two lotions - URTO and Racine - along with biotin and vitamin tablets for about 12 days now. However, instead of getting better, my hair loss seems to have tripled. Is it possible these medications aren't working for me, or is increased hair loss a normal part of the treatment process?

Increased hair loss in the first few weeks of treatment can be normal, especially with medications like minoxidil. It's part of the transition as your hair follicles shift into a new growth phase. Stick with the treatment for a couple of months, but if you feel uncomfortable or the shedding doesnt stop, definitely reach out to your dermatologist.

I'm really worried about my hair loss and it seems like Minoxidil has some side effects and you have to take it for life. But I've been trying this Well Grow anti-hair loss serum and nothing's happeningmy hair's still falling out. What's going on? Should I keep using it, and for how long do you think it's safe? And does it have similar side effects to Minoxidil?

I'm a bit worried about a situation with my left groin. It started itching a lot today and I noticed there's hard skin peeling off. I took some of it off but now there's this painful red patch where the skin was. My right groin seems totally fine though. Could this be something serious, or do you think it might clear up on its own?

You may be experiencing a fungal infection in your left groin area. You can try using an antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole 1% cream. Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice a day for 2-4 weeks. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry to prevent further irritation. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it would be best to consult a doctor for further evaluation and management.
