Hey, I'm really worried about my dad. He's been dealing with type 2 diabetes for a while now and recently, about 3 months back, he got diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis. He didn't tell anyone in our family because he thought it was just a regular cough and cold. But when things didn't get better, we had him tested, and it turned out to be TB. The chest X-ray and CT scan show a significant infection in both his lungs, with consolidation and cavitation, but thankfully no pleural or pericardial effusion. Now he's also got pneumonia because of all this. He's been on DOTS treatment for the last 10 days, but he's still coughing up phlegm. I'm anxious to know when we might start seeing some improvement in his condition. Could you shed some light on this?

it atleast will take 2-3 months to improve his condition, but you should continue DOTS for 6 months

Hey, just wanted a second opinion about my abdominal tuberculosis treatment. My doctor stopped RHE FD and Pyzina and now has me on R Cinex 600 and Moximac. My uric acid level is 12.7. About 1.5 years ago, I had extra pulmonary TB, and despite finishing 9 months of AKT4, TB's been diagnosed again after a recent CT scan because I had upper abdomen pain. I dont have any TB symptoms or side effects from meds this time. Is the treatment plan right? How can I contact online for more details?

I'm on medication for Tuberculosis and it's been 5 days now, but I'm feeling unbelievably weak, exhausted, and feverish. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

It is the side-effects of the medications. Also take tab  pyridoxine 40 mg orally,once daily and tab paracetamol 500mg sos for fever.

Ive been smoking for a while now, mostly just a couple of cigarettes a day unless Im drinking, then it can go up to 6 or 7. Im starting to worry about my lungs. How can I tell if theyre still in good condition or if theres some damage? Any way to check this out?
