I've been struggling with chest congestion and breathing problems, especially at night, and it's been going on for about 3 years now. Lately, it feels like I'm getting affected more frequently. I also have this persistent coughing. Can you help me understand what's going on and what I should do about it?

View allIs it true that 90% of our lungs can get damaged just from carbon molecules without them even doing anything? I'm kind of worried about what this means for overall lung health and how we can protect ourselves from this damage. Any advice on how we can prevent this or keep our lungs in better shape?

I've been dealing with a coughing issue over the past week, and it's really getting out of hand, especially at night. It's making it hard to sleep because there's also this white mucus that keeps coming up from my throat. I'm considering taking a cough expectorant, but I'm not sure if that's the best move. What do you think? Should I try medication, or is there something else I should do?
use medication

I'm having some trouble with congestion in my chest and hearing noises when I breathe, mostly because of dust, I think. A few days ago, I had a fever, and my back's been hurting, probably because of the breathing issues. Plus, the cough is making the pain in my throat and back worse. Can you give me some advice on what I should do?
Syrup salbutamol 10 ml orally thrice daily is advised to the patient.
