I've been told I have diverticulitis, and I've noticed it hurts more when I'm sitting compared to lying down. Is there something about sitting that puts extra pressure on my colon?

It is most likely that when you sit the position causes a touch or increased pressure over the diverticulitis which may cause the pain. These steps may help in the ailment:

  • Rest well
  • A liquid diet may be of help during this time period as it may be easier to digest a liquid diet, you can slowly increase to solid food depending on how you tolerate it.
  • Drink adequate amount of water, aim to rink 2.5 - 3 lietrs of water per day
  • Prunes or prune juice may serve as natural laxatives, which would help in easier bowel movements
  • Have a low-fat diet since fat slows down the passage of food through the intestine.
  • Eat low-bulk foods such as broths and low-fiber breads
  • Cooked vegetables, cooked fruits, and apples would help with an inflamed intestine
  • Avoid milk and milk products (yogurts and cheeses),nuts, corn, popcorn, and seeds which could worsen your illness

I've developed this habit of eating raw rice, and I'm really concerned if it might be affecting my health. Could this reduce my red blood cell count or cause any issues with my uterus? I'm worried and would appreciate any advice.

I'm wondering if it's safe to take Normaxin RT for acid reflux after I've had papaya or other fruits in the morning. Here's what I did today: I had giloy juice, then Chyawanprash, then papaya, and finally took Normaxin RT, all with about a half-hour gap in between. Is this okay to do? Would love some guidance.

Steps *General Guidance* 1. *Err on the side of caution*: Even if symptoms seem mild, head injuries can be unpredictable. 2. *Seek medical attention*: Visit a doctor or emergency room to rule out internal injuries. *Red Flags to Watch For* 1. *Worsening headache*: If headache severity increases or persists. 2. *Vomiting*: Especially if vomit contains blood or coffee ground-like material. 3. *Confusion or disorientation*: If you experience dizziness, confusion, or difficulty concentrating. 4. *Vision changes*: Blurred vision, double vision, or sensitivity to light. 5. *Weakness or numbness*: In the face, arm, or leg. *Recommended Next Steps* 1. *Visit a doctor*: Schedule an appointment with your primary care physician or visit an urgent care center. 2. *Describe symptoms*: Share your experience, including the injury, symptoms, and any concerns. 3. *Get a proper evaluation*: The doctor may perform a physical examination, take a medical history, and potentially order imaging tests (e.g., CT or MRI scans).
