I've been waking up in the middle of the night, gasping for air with my heart racing like crazy. It's been happening often, like 3 or 4 times a night, but never during the day. I quit smoking about 5 days ago. I'm a 25-year-old female. Is this normal when you stop smoking, or could it be something else? What should I do?

View allI've been dealing with asthma for over 8 years now and my doctor prescribed me a budesonide formoterol inhaler. Things have improved a bit, but I still have to use it, especially in winter. I just got over COVID about two weeks ago, but I've been noticing that if I sleep with the fan on high and no blanket, I get breathing issues because of the cold. This even happens during the summer. I always need a blanket when I sleep. Last night, around 3am, I had a breathing problem and tightness in my chest. My oxygen level was 89, but it went back above 93 after I turned off the fan and used a blanket. During the day, my oxygen is above 95. I'm worried because my oxygen levels drop at night. I've had this issue since I was a child, but back then, I didnt have a way to monitor my SpO2. Is this normal in asthma?
it might be due to nasal congestion, take steam inhalation before you sleep. it is not normal. there might be slight positional variations,but not this much

I'm a bit confused about the steam from nebulizers. I recently got the Dr. Trust nebulizer, and it gives off cold steam. Isn't the steam supposed to be hot? The evaporation of the medicine seems to work fine according to the manual, but I'm still concerned if this is normal. Could you help clarify this for me?
For a nebulizer like Dr. Trust, the steam provided should be a fine, cool mist, not hot steam, as cool mist is more comfortable to inhale and helps prevent irritation to the airways, so the cold steam produced by your nebulizer is appropriate and effective for delivering medication.

I've been on my TB meds for nearly two weeks now, and recently I've started having really bad coughing fits, especially when I'm lying down. This wasn't happening before I started the treatment. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?
