I'm really curious about something. I quit smoking in February, and since then, whenever I clear my throat with a lot of effort, I notice dark particles in my phlegm. I've been using Ipravent and Foracort Rotacaps for about 10 years now since they were prescribed for my bronchial asthma. I haven't gone back to the doctor because these meds seem to handle my asthma just fine. Do you think it's okay that I haven't had a doctor check-up in so long, or should I be looking into that?

I'm feeling some pain in my ribs on the right side and I had an X-ray done. The report says something about "rounded joint calcific density" in the R paufrachel region and mentions "calcified nodes of various sizes." I'm not really sure what any of this means.
