I've got a bit of a situation here. I tried eating a bunch of French fries at once, and I think the sharp edges scratched my throat. Now I've got these little red patches on my throat wall, and it hurts when I swallow. Do you think this will just heal on its own, or should I be taking something for it?

To help with the pain and inflammation, you can try using a throat anesthetic spray to numb the area. Additionally, you can take over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) to reduce the pain and inflammation. Gargling with warm salt water can also help soothe the throat. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it's best to consult with a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

View allI accidentally swallowed a fish thorn and since then, it feels like something's stuck in my throat. Whenever I swallow, there's this little pain, and I'm not sure if the thorn is still there or if it caused a scratch. I've tried some home remedies, but it hasn't gotten better. Could you give me some advice on what I should do next?

I've got this really uncomfortable feeling like there's something stuck in my throat, and it's making it hard to breathe. It's like a plum or something just won't budge. Can you recommend any medicine or treatment to help clear it out of my throat or lungs? It's really bothersome and I'm a bit worried about it.

my hearing has been really muffled lately and i think it might be glue ear ive heard about grommet surgery but im not sure if i need it or if theres other options i should try first
If you suspect glue ear and are concerned about muffled hearing, it's best to consult a doctor or audiologist. While grommet surgery (myringotomy with grommet insertion) can be a solution for persistent glue ear, it's not always the first step. Other options include observation, medications (like antibiotics or decongestants), and temporary use of hearing aids.
