I've got a bump that just popped up on the side of my nose out of nowhere, and it's been hanging around for two weeks. Whenever I try to mess with it, I get this white pus along with some blood from the pores. My skin is super oily and I do get these acne bumps sometimes. I'm wondering what might be going on and how I can get rid of it. Any thoughts?

The sudden bump on your nose could be a:

  1. Sebaceous cyst
  2. Pimple or acne cyst
  3. Ingrown hair

To get rid of the bump:

Self-Care

  1. Stop picking: Avoid squeezing or picking the bump to prevent further inflammation and scarring.
  2. Warm compresses: Apply a warm, damp washcloth to the area for 5-7 minutes, 2-3 times a day.
  3. Keep the area clean: Gently wash your face with a mild cleanser, avoiding harsh products.

Topical Treatments

  1. Benzoyl peroxide: Apply a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cream or gel to the affected area.
  2. Tea tree oil: Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with a carrier oil (coconut or olive oil) and apply it to the bump.

Professional Help

If the bump persists, worsens, or becomes severely inflamed, consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.

In the meantime, consider:

  1. Oily skin management: Use oil-free products, and consider a clay-based mask to control oil production.
  2. Acne treatment: If you're prone to acne, consider consulting a dermatologist for a personalized treatment plan.

I've recently noticed these small black spots on my lower back, kind of the size of an inch coin. They're not itchy, but they do hurt a little when I press on them. Should I be worried about this?

Could be due to a condition called Tinea Versicolor, which is a fungal infection of the skin. I recommend using an antifungal medication such as Clotrimazole cream twice a day on the affected area for 2-4 weeks. Additionally, you can take oral antifungal medication like Fluconazole 150mg once a week for 2-4 weeks to treat the infection effectively. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry, and avoid tight clothing to help with the healing process.

I've had this medium-sized fungal issue near my upper thigh for the past month. I've tried various treatments like the Gurda tube, but it's still lingering. Could you suggest what else I might try for these types of fungal infections? I'm worried and hoping for some guidance on what I can do next.
