I've got a few fibrotic lesions with fine calcification showing up in my lung fields on both sides. What could be causing this, and how do I go about treating it? Is this something I should be seriously worried about?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Fibrotic lesions with calcifications in the lungs often result from past infections like tuberculosis or fungal infections, or exposure to environmental irritants. They are typically not serious if stable and not causing symptoms but should be monitored with regular imaging and lung function tests. Consult your doctor to rule out any underlying conditions or active disease.

View allI'm feeling really confused and a bit worried after I got my results from a pre-medical exam for work on Wednesday. My X-ray results mentioned something about "pulmo clearance," and I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. I haven't had any issues with TB, or even a cough in the past year. Can you help me understand what I should do next?
"Pulmo clearance" in your X-ray result likely indicates that there are no significant issues or abnormalities in your lungs, and your lungs appear clear. Its reassuring that you haven't experienced symptoms like coughing, especially related to tuberculosis (TB). Given your history, its important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further clarification and ensure that all pre-employment health requirements are met.

I've been feeling really uncomfortable lately with a sort of suffocation and this weird tingling in my hands and feet for about a month. I did a pulmonary function test, and it came out normal. I'm wondering if it would be okay to use an inhaler to help with these symptoms?
anxiety or stress issue

My mom's been diagnosed with TB, and I'm really worried. In the evenings, her temperature goes up to about 100-101.5F. Is that kind of fever normal for someone dealing with TB? And once she starts taking her medication, how long can we expect this fever to stick around?
Around 5 days.
