View allI've been dealing with some itching and dry cuts behind my ears. It's really weird because they seem to appear and disappear after a few days, but when they're there, they're super painful. Any idea what could be causing this or how I can make it stop?
This could be fungal infection u need to evaluate with your Dermatologist and get appropriate treatment with oral antifungal medications and topical lotions, once the infection is resolved your hair fall would come down,I suggest you not to use minoxidil with active fungal infection, above this your personal hygiene care is more important.

I've been using virgin coconut oil on my scalp, and it's been really itchy afterward. Could you help me understand what might be causing this and what steps I should take to fix it?
The problem could be an allergic reaction or irritation to the coconut oil. I recommend you stop using the coconut oil and try using an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to help with the itching. You can also take an antihistamine like cetirizine (brand name Zyrtec) to help reduce the itching. If the itching persists or gets worse, please consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.
