I've had acanthosis nigricans for the last 11 years, and it has been particularly bad on my neck. I've tried a few creams recommended by doctors, but they haven't really helped much. I do have a bit of extra weight, but I make sure to exercise every day. My dad has diabetes, so I'm worried there might be a connection. I'm 18 now and really want to find a long-term solution. Can plastic surgery or laser treatments actually get rid of acanthosis nigricans?

Acanthosis Nigricans (AN) treatment focuses on addressing underlying causes, such as insulin resistance and obesity.
Realistic Expectations:
No "cure" exists, but symptoms can be managed.
Treatment Options:
- Lifestyle changes: Maintain a healthy weight, diet, and exercise routine.
- Topical treatments: Creams or ointments may help improve skin texture.
- Oral medications: Metformin may help improve insulin sensitivity.
Plastic Surgery and Laser Treatment:
Not recommended as primary treatments for AN.

I'm getting married soon and I'm really worried about my dark skin color. I've been thinking about using skin whitening pills but I'm not sure if they are safe. I really don't want to use any creams. Can you tell me more about the safety of these pills?
Kojiglo gel is advised for 3--6 weeks ,once daily for local application.

I've been dealing with a lot of acne lately, and my skin's gotten really oily. I've been using Clincitop cream, along with a Lotus tea tree face wash and Oriflame tea tree moisturizer. I'm really hoping to clear up these pimples and the marks they leave behind, plus I'd love to get rid of this oily skin. Could you please guide me on what to do?
