I've had anal fissures for about 3 months now and my gastroenterologist recommended sucralfate ointment. But now I feel like there's a muscle-like fissure near my anus and the doctor is suggesting surgery with a one-day hospital stay. Is surgery really the only option here? Are there any other treatments that could work? I've heard about Ayurvedic treatments would those be a better choice for healing this?

I'm dealing with multiple fistulas and they're really painful. I'm trying to figure out whether laser surgery or fistulotomy would be better in the long run.
