View allI've been dealing with this pimple on my face and decided to try betamethasone ointment on it. After I washed my face, I noticed that the area where I applied it looked lighter. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or if I should be concerned. Could this be a side effect or does it mean the ointment is working?
Clinsol gel for local application is advised for 3-6 weeks.

I have this boil on my right thigh that's been bothering me for the last three days. The skin around it is really red and it's pretty painful. What kind of antibiotic should I consider for this? I'm a bit worried.
For the boil on your thigh, along with the redness and pain, you can take an antibiotic like Amoxicillin-Clavulanate (brand name Augmentin) 625mg twice a day for 7-10 days. Additionally, you can also apply an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to the affected area to help with the healing process.
