I've had a fever for five days now, and while my throat pain and cold have finally eased up, the phlegm remains. My fever just won't go down, though there's no body pain or stomach ache. The doctor gave me zocef, but I'm wondering if that's enough or if there's something more I should be doing. What do you think?

Lymphocyte Count Increase: Potential Causes and Concerns
A significant increase in lymphocyte count (from 14 to 44) warrants attention. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that helps fight infections.
Potential Causes:
- Viral infections: Recent or ongoing viral infections, such as flu, HIV, or hepatitis.
- Bacterial infections: Chronic bacterial infections, like tuberculosis.
- Autoimmune disorders: Conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.
- Vitamin deficiencies: Severe vitamin deficiencies, including vitamin D (your level is 5).
- Stress: Physical or emotional stress can cause lymphocyte fluctuations.
Concerns:
- Infections: Your increased lymphocyte count may indicate a chronic infection.
- Bleeding: Easy bleeding could be related to a blood disorder or platelet issue.
- Vitamin D deficiency: Severe deficiency (level 5) can contribute to overall health issues.
Recommended Actions:
- Consult a hematologist: Discuss your lymphocyte count increase and overall health.
- Investigate underlying causes: Your doctor may order additional tests to identify potential causes.
- Address vitamin D deficiency: Start vitamin D supplements and adjust your diet to improve levels.
- Monitor your health: Keep track of any changes in your symptoms, bleeding, or infections.
Take your health concerns seriously and consult a specialist to determine the underlying cause of your lymphocyte count increase.

View allI had gotten the Covishield vaccine and about 12 hours later, I started experiencing chills and fever. I took Dolo a few times at around 10:30 pm, 3 am, 7:45 am, and 1 pm. However, by 6, I still had body pain and fever, so I took Meftal Forte. Someone mentioned to me that taking Meftal Forte was not a good idea. Fortunately, most of my symptoms are gone now, just a slight ache remains. Could you please let me know if it was okay to take Meftal Forte in this situation? I'm feeling a bit worried about it.
Taking Meftal Forte (a combination of mefenamic acid and paracetamol) after Dolo (paracetamol) is generally not recommended due to the increased risk of adverse effects, such as stomach ulcers and bleeding; however, since you've already taken it and your symptoms have resolved

I've been feeling under the weather since yesterday. I've got a bad cold and flu, with this annoying head and throat pain. Plus, I'm constantly sniveling, which is pretty bothersome. What should I do about this?
Paracetamol 650mg thrice a day after food for 2 days. Tab. Monticope-a twice a day after food for 3 days. Warm salt water gargles thrice a day.

Can I take gas medicine on an empty stomach? I've been having a fever since yesterday, and I've been taking paracetamol 500 mg, but my temperature is still 100.7. Should I be concerned about mixing these meds, or is there anything else I should be doing?
