I've had inverted nipples since birth and there's no pain but I want to fix them. Is there any injection that can correct this or would I need surgery?

My son was born 8 months premature and has cleft lips along with a hole in his palate. He's getting discharged from NICU in 2 days how long should I wait before getting his cleft surgery done?
