I've had swollen lymph nodes for about seven months now, and while they're moveable and don't hurt, they just won't go away. The FNAC test I did said they're reactive, but after trying antibiotics, nothing's changed theyre still the same size. I dont have any other symptoms, so I'm kind of at a loss here. What should my next steps be? Trying not to worry too much, but it's been a while.

Hello Zac San,

Yellow patches on the tonsils can be concerning.

Possible causes:

  • Tonsillitis
  • Tonsil stones (calcified debris)
  • Oral thrush (fungal infection)
  • Strep throat

Given your history of swelling and pain, it's essential to consult an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist or a primary care physician for a thorough examination and diagnosis.

Consult a Haematologist

I've been feeling okay, no fever or injuries, but I'm still a bit concerned. I recently got my blood work done, and my white blood cell count is at 11.8k and platelet count is 11.5 lakh. Not sure if this is something to worry about. What could be causing these numbers to be on the higher side?

Your bilirubin levels show a mild elevation, which can be caused by various factors such as: Liver inflammation or injury Hemolytic anemia Gilbert's syndrome Your ASTSGOT and ASTSGPT levels are slightly elevated, indicating mild liver stress. Consult your doctor to discuss the results and determine the underlying cause.

So I'm trying to wrap my head around some recent blood test results and I'm a bit puzzled. My PDW and PLCR numbers seem pretty high, even though my platelet count is normal. The PDW is 19.2, PLCR is 52.5, and my platelet count is 210,000. Just as a reference, my platelet count was 255,000 back in August 2016. Should I be worried about the PDW and PLCR values? What could this mean for my overall health?

These values suggest that there may be some changes in the size and distribution of platelets in your blood. It could be due to various reasons such as inflammation, infection, or certain medical conditions. I would recommend further evaluation by a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.

So, I'm dealing with this low platelet count situation. I've already tried medication and even got saline, but my platelet levels are still low. My family doctor thinks I should see a hematologist. What could be the reason my platelet count isnt improving? What can I expect from a hematologist visit, and are there other treatments I should be considering?

TABLET LIMCEE TO SUCK THREE TIMES A DAY AFTER BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER. GOOD TASTE. USE CITRUS FRUITS LIKE LEMON ORANGE KIWI, AAMLA REGULARLY FOR ONE MONTH OR SO. PLATELET COUNT INCREASED.
