I've just got my blood test results back, and my total leukocyte count is showing as 11,600 CellsCumm. Is this within the normal range, or should I be concerned about my white blood cell count being too high?

I'm really concerned about my mom. She had Covid, but thankfully she recovered and tested negative about two weeks ago. However, we've noticed her D Dimer level is now 675mg. Is it normal for blood to become thicker after testing negative for Covid? Also, her CRP level is up to 10. Is there a chance of reinfection, or is this something else I should be worried about?

continue the covid tablets which your consultant given!! no need to recheck

I'm really worried about my dad. He's got a really high white blood cell count at 22,000. He's around 80 years old and gets really exhausted even with just a little bit of effort. Any idea what's going on or what we should do next?

A high WBC count can be indicative of various conditions, ranging from infections to more serious diseases like leukemia. The key to managing your father's health right now is thorough medical evaluation, so I strongly recommend discussing these concerns with his primary doctor or specialist to get the right diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

I'm kind of freaking out because I've been getting these petechiae spots on my thighs for a couple of months now. I've been looking it up and it keeps linking back to leukemia, which is super scary. Plus, my gums have been bleeding whenever I brush my teeth for a few months too. I did some blood work between noticing the gum bleeding and the petechiae and it came back normal. Could this still be leukemia even if the blood work was okay?

It's understandable to be concerned, but if your blood work was normal, it's less likely to be leukemia. Petechiae and bleeding gums can be caused by several factors, including vitamin deficiencies or gum issues. If the symptoms persist or worsen, its a good idea to follow up with your doctor for further evaluation.
