I've noticed a patch of dry skin on my right under thigh, but it's not itchy or causing any discomfort. Could you recommend an ointment for this?

Since there's no itch or discomfort, you can try the following over-the-counter (OTC) ointments:
- Moisturizing creams: Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream, or CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.
- Hydrocortisone cream: A mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone (0.5-1%) can help reduce inflammation and dryness.
- Urea-based creams: Urea (10-20%) creams, such as Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream or Aquaphor Healing Ointment, can help lock in moisture.
- Vaseline: Petroleum jelly (Vaseline) can provide a protective barrier and help retain moisture.
Apply the ointment 2-3 times a day, or as needed. If the patch persists or worsens, consult a doctor or dermatologist for further guidance.

I've been having a lot of itching around my penis and testes lately. Scratching gives me temporary relief, but then it starts itching again. I've tried using Candid lotion, but it hasn't helped at all. I'm really consistent about bathing every day and even use cooling powders, yet the itchiness persists. It's pretty embarrassing because I can't stop myself from scratching in public sometimes. Also, there are visible red scratch marks between my penis and upper thighs. Can you help me figure out what might be going on and what I should do?
You may be experiencing a fungal infection in the groin area, also known as jock itch. In addition to maintaining good hygiene practices, you can try using an antifungal cream such as Clotrimazole (brand name Lotrimin) twice a day for 2-4 weeks. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry, and wear loose-fitting cotton underwear to help reduce moisture and friction. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it's important to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
