I've noticed that right after I brush my teeth and clean my tongue, there are spots of blood on my tongue that disappear after I rinse my mouth. I've also experienced some slight swelling on the sides. There's no pain involved, but it's definitely concerning. What could be causing this? Could it be something I should worry about?

Could be due to minor trauma from brushing too hard or using a hard-bristled toothbrush. The slight swelling on the sides could be due to irritation. To help with this issue, you can try using a softer toothbrush and being gentler while brushing your tongue. You can also use a mouthwash with an antibacterial agent to help reduce any inflammation. If the issue persists, you can try using an oral gel containing benzocaine to help with any discomfort.

View allI've been having jaw pain and discomfort on the side of my face, and I just realized there's a clicking sound when I open and close my mouth on the left side. Could this be TMJ? What exercises or treatments can help without needing surgery?
Yes, the jaw pain, discomfort, and clicking sound on one side could be indicative of a Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder. However, it's important to see a dentist or doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Numerous non-surgical options can help manage the pain and clicking, including physical therapy, medications, dietary changes, and home remedies

I'm really worried. A couple of days ago, I accidentally hit my wife on her right cheek, and now her jaw on that side is swollen. It was starting to get better, and she didn't have any pain for about two weeks. But suddenly, yesterday, she's in a lot of pain again, and the swelling has increased. Should we see a dentist, or would a regular doctor be better for this?
visit a surgeon it would be better

I'm trying to find the safest mouthwash to use in India because I've heard that some mouthwashes with alcohol might be linked to oral cancer. Is this something I should be worried about? I'm currently using Listerine, but I'm wondering if there are any better options out there. Could you suggest something?
The best alcohol-free mouthwash available in India is Colgate Plax. It is effective in killing germs and providing long-lasting fresh breath. Since you are concerned about the potential link between alcohol-containing mouthwashes and oral cancer, it is advisable to switch to an alcohol-free option like Colgate Plax. Use it twice a day after brushing your teeth, with 20ml undiluted for 30 seconds.
