I've noticed that sometimes when I bend my neck or look down, water suddenly comes out through my nose. I'm a bit concerned and wondering if this could be something serious. Is this something I should be worried about?

You may be experiencing a condition called cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, where cerebrospinal fluid leaks through the nose. This can be caused by a skull base fracture or a tear in the membrane surrounding the brain. It is important to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management. Medications such as acetazolamide and gabapentin may be prescribed to reduce the production of cerebrospinal fluid.

I'm really worried about my dad, who's 63. He's having this problem where there's a strong smell, like mucous, when he breathes out, both from his mouth and nose. He's never been into drinking alcohol or smoking, so I'm not sure what's going on. Could you help me understand what's causing this and maybe recommend a good mouthwash or something that might help with his breathing?

I've been sneezing non-stop and my doctor mentioned trying nasal sprays. How often can I safely use them each day? Are there any side effects I should worry about? Also, could you recommend a good nasal spray by name?

Nasal sprays for allergies are usually given once in a day 2 sprays per nostril. Also it depends on the compound in the spray.Usually sprays for allergies do not have any side effects and can be used safely for a long time. But there are also other nasal sprays which shouldnt be used for more then 3-4 days.

Lately, I've been dealing with some pretty annoying symptoms like itching in my eyes, which are also reddish, along with sneezing and a runny nose. I got a CT scan of my face, and it showed something about polypoidal mucosal thickening in my left maxillary sinus, with the left maxillary ostia being blocked. This has been a recurring problem, and it's really starting to affect me. Could you provide some advice or solutions on what might be going on and how I can find some relief?

That could be sinusitis needs a course of antibiotics, visit your ENT docotor for appropriate management and do steam inhalation for relief.
