I've recently noticed that my forehead is getting really tan, and I realized I've never really paid much attention to my skincare until now. I'm 24 and have started using a Himalaya walnut scrub, neem face wash, and kesar face pack for about a month. I can see some improvement on my cheeks but not on my forehead. Also, since I started using the neem face wash, I get a lot of pimples. They seem to clear up after using the face wash, but new ones just pop up in different places. What can I do to get rid of the tan on my forehead and prevent these pimples?

View allI'm a 26-year-old guy and I've been taking Tretiva 10 mg for my scalp infection. The dermatologist suggested I use it for 30 days to help with the small pimples filled with white pus on my scalp. But I read about some possible side effects in the patient information leaflet, like psychiatric disorders, pancreatitis, and pseudotumor cerebri, and I'm starting to worry a bit. Do you think it's a good idea to stop taking it? I'm concerned about any possible effects on my brain or thinking since I'm a student. Also, I didn't have any blood tests before starting this medication. What should I do?
Tretiva 10 mg is a brand name for isotretinoin, which is commonly used to treat severe acne and some cases of scalp infection. While it is important to be aware of the potential side effects listed in the patient information leaflet, it is also important to consider the benefits of the medication in treating your scalp infection. In your case, since the dermatologist has prescribed a low dose of 1 tretiva 10 mgday for 30 days, the risk of experiencing severe side effects such as psychiatric disorders, pancreatitis, or pseudotumor cerebri is relatively low. These side effects are more commonly associated with higher doses and long-term use of isotretinoin. As a student, it is crucial to prioritize your health and well-being.

I'm really concerned about this itch on the pad of my right thumb that's been driving me crazy for the past week. There's no sign of a bite or any redness, swelling, or anything like that. Ive tried scratching it, biting it, and rubbing it on various things, but nothing seems to help. What could be causing this, and how can I get some relief?
You may be experiencing a case of contact dermatitis. You can try using an over-the-counter antihistamine such as Cetirizine (10mg) once daily to help relieve the itching. Additionally, you can apply a topical corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% to the affected area up to twice a day. Make sure to avoid any potential irritants or allergens that may be causing the itching. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it would be best to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.
