I've recently undergone RF treatment for my Xanthelasma, and while the wound has healed, the skin there doesn't quite match the rest of my skin tone. Do you have any recommendations for creams or treatments that could help even it out?

I would recommend using a cream containing hydroquinone to help lighten the skin and reduce any remaining discoloration. You can try using a cream like Melalite Forte cream, applying a thin layer on the affected area once daily in the evening. Make sure to use sunscreen during the day to protect the skin and prevent further darkening.

View allI've got this rash that's developed on my chest and shoulder. It started on Thursday as just a small itchy spot, but now it's a raised area that's hot and irritated to the touch. I've tried taking allergy pills, but they haven't made any difference. Could you let me know what this might be and what I should do about it?
This sounds like a case of contact dermatitis. I recommend using a topical corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% cream applied to the affected area twice a day for 1 week. Additionally, you can take an oral antihistamine like Cetirizine 10mg once daily to help with the itching and inflammation. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.

I've been prescribed Isotretinoin by my dermatologist for six months, and while it has worked well for me, I'm really worried about how expensive it is. I'm wondering if I can switch from Isotane to Lactezin capsules instead. Will they work the same way?
Switching from Isotane (Isotretinoin) to Lactezin Capsule isn't recommended without consulting your dermatologist first. Isotretinoin is a retinoid medication specifically designed to treat severe acne, and its effectiveness is well-documented. Lactezin, on the other hand, is typically used to treat digestive issues, not acne. If you're concerned about the cost of Isotane, consider discussing alternative options or generic versions with your dermatologist. Some generic versions of Isotretinoin, like Isotroin 5 Capsule or Acutret 5 Capsule, might be more affordable. However, it's crucial to prioritize your acne treatment and consult with your dermatologist before making any changes to your medication.

I'm dealing with eczema and I've been using luliconazole for it. I'm concerned about whether it's a topical steroid cream and if this could be harmful to my skin. I've also heard that steroids might increase the risk of lymphoma. Could you help clarify this for me?
Luliconazole is not a steroid cream, it is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal skin infections. It is generally safe for use on the skin and does not carry the same risks as topical steroid creams. However, like any medication, it may cause side effects such as skin irritation or redness at the application site. If you have concerns about using topical steroids for eczema, you can discuss alternative treatment options with your healthcare provider.
