Looking for feedback on Dr Ramesh at LV Prasad for squint surgery. I'm from Pune but considering Chennai for the procedure. Any experiences or recommendations? Also, are there good eye hospitals in Chennai for this surgery?

My mom is 47 and diabetic, she just had cataract surgery in one eye and can see far distances clearly now. The doctor wants to use a different focal lens in her other eye so one eye sees far and the other sees near. Is this approach safe and effective for someone with diabetes? Will she adjust okay to having each eye focused differently?

Why isn't a small difference like 0.5D seen as a big deal for Lasik surgery? I'm curious because I've heard mixed opinions and want to understand if it really makes a difference in outcomes
