My 5-year-old has an inguinal hernia and I'm really worried about surgery. Is there any way to treat it without surgery at this age? Can lifestyle changes or medicines help slow it down? I've heard homeopathy might work is that a safe alternative to gradually get rid of it? What precautions should we take?

I noticed a fistula last year but couldn't get surgery because of the pandemic. It's really bothering me now - is there any medicine that could help manage it until things settle down and I can get proper treatment? The discomfort is getting hard to deal with

Can I fly with a femoral hernia if my surgery is scheduled for November 2nd but my flight is on October 18th
It's generally advisable to wait a period of time after surgery before flying, and that time frame can vary depending on the type of surgery and individual recovery. Given that your femoral hernia surgery is scheduled for November 2nd and your flight is on October 18th, you should consult with your surgeon before flying.the timing to fly after hernia surgery varies based on the surgical method and individual recovery, and open surgery may require several weeks. Your surgeon can assess your specific situation and provide tailored guidance on when it's safe for you to fly.
