View allI was recently diagnosed with an intersphincteric fistula tract and have surgery scheduled for next Friday. I'm a bit nervous and wondering what type of anesthesia is usually given during a fistulectomy procedure
Spinal anaesthesia will be given during surgery. You will feel a small pin-prick in your back. The surgery will take 20-30 minutes only. Don't worry!

I'm a 35-year-old male engineer, and I've recently had my gallbladder removed. I'm still on bed rest and trying to figure out how much more time I might need to fully recover. Can you give me an idea of the usual recovery period for this surgery? I'm concerned about how much longer I might need to stay off work.
Surgeon opinion is advised to the patient.
