My ACL in my right knee has been torn for 10 years my first doctor told me to rest and exercise. Now after another fall, a new doc says only ACL reconstruction surgery will fix it permanently. Are there any other options besides surgery?

View allMRI scan shows a high-grade partial ACL tear in my left knee and some meniscus issues. The doctor is recommending arthroscopic surgery but I'm not sure if it's necessary. There's also a mild strain in the PCL and tears in the lateral meniscus. The medial meniscus looks thinned out too. Do I really need the operation or are there other options?
ortho review is advised.

My mom has had osteoporosis and arthritis for about ten years and now her doctor is recommending knee replacement because her knee joints are rubbing together. Given her osteoporosis, is knee replacement still a safe option? Also, how would the implant stay in place if her bones are weak from the porosis? She's otherwise healthy with no diabetes or other issues.
I recommend starting with physiotherapy and painkillers to manage your condition. If there's no significant improvement after a reasonable period, we can then consider surgical options.

I'm having some trouble with my lower back. While taking a bath, I bent down to soap my legs, and suddenly my lower back started hurting. The pain is now spreading to my legs, and I can't really move around much. It's tough for me to stand or sit properly, and bending down or stretching backward is almost impossible. This started happening around 11:15 am, and it's been 2 hours now. Any advice on what I should do?
