My baby is 10 months old. Ascaris lumbricoides was seen in her stool test report. Please tell me what this is and what the treatment for this worm is? My doctor has suggested that, since she is only 10 months old, we cannot give any medicine until she turns 1 year. Please advise.

Ascaris is a type of intestinal worm. While some doctors wait till age 1, if symptoms are severe, pediatricians may consider treatment. Keep hygiene strict. Consult a pediatrician again. Syrup Bandy will be given if the symptoms are severe

View allSir/Madam, good evening. I have been suffering from digestion problems for the last 40 days. On 10th April, I had fever along with 12 times loose motion, but I got relief after taking paracetamol. My body temperature stayed around 99.4 during the day and returned to normal in the morning and evening for the next 3 days. I took Augmentine 625 thrice a day and Hatric 3 twice a day for 2 days, after which I developed severe acidity problems. My doctor then prescribed me Pentoz DSR and Melzap MD for 7 days, but when symptoms continued, he changed my medicines to Pantoprazole DSR and Normaxin RT for 10 days, which gave me around 30 percent relief. Currently, I am taking Erojole DSR and Udinol 300 twice a day, and this has improved my condition up to 70 percent, reducing acidity, heaviness in the chest, and pain. I am attaching my LFT test and Widal test report. Could you please suggest what the reports indicate and guide me further based on my condition?

My son is 3 years and 10 months old. For the last 7 to 8 days he has been feeling discomfort in his stomach. I gave him Enterogermina for 3 days, twice a day, but it did not reduce. Now he feels this discomfort in different places like the middle of the chest, left side of the chest, right side of the stomach under the ribs, and above and below the navel. This discomfort lasts for a few seconds and happens 9 to 10 times a day. For the last 3 to 4 days his motion is normal. His urine routine test report is also normal. His pediatrician checked him and told me that physically he has no problem. He prescribed Drotin DS 7.5 ml, twice daily, but after giving this medicine the problem increased. He does not have any other problems and is playful. What should I do? Should I stop this medicine?
